Maintain Your Lawn with Our 3-Step Weed and Feed
Our customized three-step “weed and feed” treatment is a cornerstone of the Scientific Plant Service lawn care in Howard County. This nutrient program provides any property with the nourishment it needs while discouraging weeds. The three steps include:
- First, we apply POLYON fertilizer at the start of spring to kick off a slow release of nitrogen throughout the summer. The fertilizer contains an herbicide that prevents the weeds Goosegrass and Crabgrass from germinating.
- Next, as broadleaf weed growth peaks in late spring, we return to your property to apply herbicide controls. We only treat the areas where weeds are active.
- Finally, near the end of summer, we survey your lawn to determine what help may be needed. We apply POLYON once again for the fall to give your yard a head start come springtime.
When you use our weed and feed program, you can look forward to a healthy and lush lawn throughout the year.
The Benefits of POLYON Fertilizer
At Scientific Plant Service, we always look for the best products to use in our programs. One of the best products we have introduced to our customers is POLYON fertilizer.
We use POLYON for a few key reasons. This fertilizer allows us to apply 30 to 50% fewer nutrients to your lawn while producing the same results as traditional fertilizers. This means that we eliminate the chance of heavy nutrient runoff into your local environment.
When we apply POLYON, we only need to use two granular treatments each year to provide the necessary nutrition.
