Scientific Plant Service has been committed to providing excellent lawn care service since 1957. That year, Frank J. Burke founded our company focused on ornamental shrub and shade tree care. Since that beginning, however, we have evolved with our industry by offering comprehensive services that include fertilizer and pesticide applications, plant care, aquatics, athletic field maintenance, and snow removal. We maintain our memberships in multiple Maryland lawn care associations and hold licenses and certifications that demonstrate our qualifications. If you are ready to learn more about what our lawn care service in Glenelg can do for your property, reach out to Scientific Plant Service today.
Use Our Weed and Feed System to Nourish Your Lawn
Our original, three-step “weed and feed” treatment is a critical component of our lawn care service in Glenelg. This program provides any lawn with the nourishment it needs to thrive while simultaneously discouraging weed growth.
- First, we apply POLYON fertilizer at the beginning of spring to initiate a slow release of nitrogen throughout the summer. This fertilizer contains an herbicide that prevents the germination of Goosegrass and Crabgrass.
- Next, during the peak of broadleaf weed growth in late spring, we return to apply further herbicide controls. We only treat the areas where weeds are active, so the rest of your lawn is carefully left alone.
- Finally, at the end of summer, we survey your lawn to determine what extra help may be needed. We apply POLYON once again for the fall to give your yard the nutrition it needs to make it through to springtime.
When you use our weed and feed program, you can enjoy a lush, healthy lawn throughout the year.
Why Do We Use POLYON Fertilizer?
At Scientific Plant Service, we take care to look for the best products we can offer our customers. One of the best products we use in our programs is POLYON fertilizer.
Why do we use POLYON? There are a few key reasons why we prefer this fertilizer above others. POLYON allows us to apply 30 to 50% fewer nutrients to your lawn while producing the same great results as traditional fertilizers. This means that we reduce the chance of heavy nutrient runoff into your local environment.
Additionally, when we apply POLYON, we only have to use two granular treatments every year to provide the necessary nutrition to your lawn.
