Homeowners and commercial clients of Central Maryland and Northern Virginia have been entrusting Scientific Plant Service (SPS) with their lawns, trees and shrub care since 1957. Most people like the fact that we’re a little long in the tooth when it comes to taking care of their lawn and landscape. Founded by Frank J. Burke, SPS was originally a full-service company that provided service in landscape maintenance including mowing and arboriculture.
Current ownership has streamlined the operation to focus more on full-service lawn, tree and plant healthcare. This focus on helping to create and maintain a healthier, more viable landscape creates a better eco-system for the ‘right’ kind of bugs, prevents, or thwarts, plant disease and promotes an overall ‘green’ experience for both the customer and the environment.
